Prepare
Learn about the company, the position and the people.
Read the potential employer’s website including the News section. Read articles about them on newspaper and magazine sites and on blogs. Network to find people who have worked there.
Position descriptions are available from your recruiter or are posted on sites you are responding to. Pay attention to the requirements and how your experience and aspirations relate to them.
Prepare a list of questions/open issues you would like to address during your meetings. If you will be interviewing with more than one person,
ask the recruiter or potential employer for an interview schedule, with names, titles/roles of everyone you will meet and the relationship of the position to those whom you will meet.
Communicate your value.
The interviewer(s) want to know how your work and experiences are relevant to their needs. Think through the best ways to describe the projects in your portfolio and your experiences with this in mind. Present projects in depth that you know will convince them that you understand what they want and that your experience relates to it. Develop metaphors to help the people you meet who are not designers (human resources
